(and not so interesting) Bartolucci trivia . . .
- Height 5' 8"
- Was born in 1963 on
Groundhog Day (February 2) in Buffalo, NY
- Is an only child
- Is left-handed
- Parents moved to
Tempe, AZ in the middle of his sixth grade year
- Nearly drowned in the
Salt River in 1975
- A phobia of doctors
kept him from pursuing organized sports in High School so
he got involved in weightlifting as an alternative
- Set High School and
State Teenage Records in powerlifting
- Could run a 4.7 in
the 40 yard dash on grass
- Was known for his
leaping ability and could dunk softballs in a legal
height basketball hoop
- Became a Christian in
1981 (following his father's conversion a year or two
earlier) and led his mother to Christ two years later
- Never had any
interest in academics in High School and had no plans to
attend college
- Later decided to go
to college and graduated from Southwestern College in
Phoenix with a B.S.
- Met his wife, Lois,
in 1984 and they married in 1989
- Their first date was
a Phoenix Suns basketball game
- Once had the back of
a pickup truck fall on him while working underneath it
- Has suffered from
panic attacks and depression since early childhood
- Daughter, Giana
Marie, was born a few weeks before 9/11
- Lost his last baby
tooth at the age of 38
- Graduated from
Phoenix Seminary in 2002 with a M.A.
- Moved back to NY in
2002, after spending twenty eight years in Arizona
- Recently got back
into powerlifting and set a personal best lift with a 605
pounds in the squat
- Hopes to have a book
